Installation problems with Vista?
Once you have
run eMercury's Addin installation programme, do you still fail to see
the Addin commands on Outlook's menus or Toolbars? If you are
using Microsoft's Vista then read the following to understand what
may be the
causing this issue.
We have found that
some users, when using
Microsoft Vista then an issue sometimes exists with a Vista
feature (UAC) preventing the full installation of Outlook addins.
To overcome this
issue you need to temporary turn off the UAC feature while
installing Message Pad and turn back on (if you wish) once
installation is complete.
1) Turn Off UAC
a) Select Start button
b) Select Control Panel
c) Select User Accounts and Family Safety
d) Select
User Accounts
e) Uncheck Turn User Account Control On or Off option
2) Run the ADDIN.msi installation file.
If you are asked
to repair or remove select remove and repeat step 2
following the installation instructions.
3) Once installation
complete
Turn On UAC
a) Select Start button
b) Select Control Panel
c) Select User Accounts and Family Safety
d) Select
User Accounts
e) Check Turn User Account Control On or Off option
Once installed in
this manner then please restart Outlook and the eMercury Addin should
be available for use. If the problem
of no eMercury Addins commands showing then please reference contact us through our support page
