To use
Message Pad please follow the instructions listed below.
Customisation of Message Pad
Modify the message format with our new Customisation Manager to
reflect the needs of your office.

is now possible to customise the following attributes. You can;

change
the wording that displays in the email message's subject field,
-
change
the Message Pad Actions to represent those that are more
appropriate to your office,
-
change
the signature line that appears at the bottom of each message
Use the Customisation Manager
The Customisation Manager may be accessed from the Outlook ->
Tools -> Message Pad tab. Once the Message Pad tab is displayed,
select the Customise command and you will be presented with the
following dialogue.
The Customisation Manager may be accessed from
the Outlook -> Tools -> Message Pad tab. Once the Message Pad tab is
displayed, select the Customise... command as shown in
Fig. 2 below and you will be presented with the Message Pad
Customisation Manager dialogue as
displayed in Fig 3.

Edit the
displayed text to what you wish to show on the message and select
Apply. You can change the text that appears in the email message's subject field,
including the caller, company, phone and subject fields. The default
includes the callers name only with the sample in Fig 3 showing both
the caller and phone details.
To
include one of these four variables in the subject field, include
the field name in square brackets where you wish the contents to be
displayed.
To
include caller, insert the text [caller]
in the Subject text.
To
include company, insert the text [company]
in the Subject text.
To
include phone number, insert the text
[phone] in the Subject text.
To
include subject, insert the text [subject]
in the Subject text.
Example: Using
the example message in Fig. 1 above and the customisation 'WYWO-FROM: [caller];
PHONE: [phone]', the subject field of
the Message Pad email would read - 'WYWO-FROM: John Williams;
PHONE: +44 7864 987388.'
You can
also change the type of Caller Actions associated with the
message, if the defaults are not appropriate. Just enter the actions
you wish to have displayed in the Message Pad window and message.
Message
layout
Select Show
Caller details first and the sent message will show the caller's
details at the top of the email/task/SMS message - see Fig 4.
Select
Show Message text first and the sent message will show the
typed message at the top of the email/task/SMS message followed by
the caller's details - see Fig 5.

Message
signature
Use the
Message signature editor to change the text that appears at the
bottom of each message. To enter multiple lines, press CTRL and the
Return key at the end of each line.
Once the
changes have been made select the Apply command. All new Message Pad
message will now display this new text.
Reset customisations
If you wish to reset all the Actions to their default settings,
press the Reset to default command. To reset just one action or the
signature field, empty the fields contents and when a new field is
selected, the default will be displayed.
If you
wish to be reminded of the default settings for any field before
resetting, hover the mouse pointer over that field and the default
text will display.
