Reasons for Message Pad not displaying
Once you have run Message Pad's installation programme, do you still fail to see the Message Pad commands on Outlook's menus or Toolbars? There are a four categories on why this may be the case so please read the following to understand what may be the causing this issue.

1) Your trial period has expired
2) You have configured for Message Pad commands to show only on Outlook's menus or Outlook's toolbars.
3) The installation has not worked successfully
4) Some other reason.

1) Your trial period has expired
When you install Message Pad on your system, you have the full functionality of the programme available to you for free for a period of 28 days. Once this free evaluation period has expired, the Message Pad commands will disappear until you are ready to purchase.

To determine whether your evaluation period has expired, please review the Message Pad tab on Outlook's Option window where the expiry date will show. Please see the diagram below that illustrates this point.

2) You have configured for Message Pad commands to show only on Outlook's menus or Outlook's toolbars.
Message Pad provides the option to show the Message Pad commands on just Outlook's menus or Tool bars only. Access the Message Pad tab on Outlook's Options window and confirm whether you have selected to show in one location only and this is the cause on why Message Pad does not display as you expect.

3) The installation has not worked successfully

  1. After the installation programme successfully completes, the Message Pad modules must be linked correctly to Outlook. For this linkage to complete, Outlook needs to be fully closed and restarted after the installation of the Message Pad addin.

Sometime Outlook will remain in memory although it has been closed from the desktop. If the Message Pad commands do not appear then completely restart your machine to ensure Outlook has fully restarted and the linking process has completed.

  1. If restarting your system still results in Message Pad not showing in Outlook and your system is running Microsoft's Vista please review the Installation problems with Vista? section of our FAQ's

4) Some other reason.
